Discontinuation of Embedded ERP extension and Transition to myFulfillment

Since the launch of Embedded ERP in 2009, our goal has been to deliver an integrated solution for Magento, enabling efficient management of inventory, purchasing, and order preparation directly within the Magento back office. This approach eliminated the need for external system synchronization and streamlined access to critical functionalities.

Over the years, Embedded ERP has evolved alongside Magento, with a migration to Magento 2 in 2016. However, despite the solution's value, we have encountered several challenges inherent to its integration with Magento, including

  • Complexity of Magento Framework: Adding extensions often leads to unforeseen incompatibilities or bugs, requiring extensive technical support and longer implementation timelines.
  • Updating Limitations : As Embedded ERP is hosted on your servers, updates require developer or agency intervention, adding complexity and delays.
  • Troubleshooting Issues : Identifying and resolving platform malfunctions or bugs requires server access, complicating support processes.
  • Performance Concerns : Magento’s architecture prioritizes speed for an optimal user experience. Adding additional functionalities can impact performance and is difficult to optimize.
  • MSI Integration Challenges : Magento’s introduction of Multi-Source Inventory (MSI) has created compatibility issues with stock management solutions, complicating its integration with Embedded ERP.
  • Versioning Disruptions : Adobe’s disruptive policy across Magento 2 versions (2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4) has made it challenging to maintain a compatible version of Embedded ERP.
  • Platform Dependency : Embedded ERP’s reliance on Magento limits our ability to support customers transitioning to other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Prestashop, BigCommerce) or managing multiple Magento sites from a single tool.

Given these factors, many customers have already transitioned to the SaaS version of our solution, Boostmyshop myFulfillment, which addresses these challenges. We have decided to focus our efforts on this platform moving forward.

As a result, we will discontinue the commercialization of Embedded ERP effective January 1, 2025, and technical support for the solution will be available until July 1, 2025.
